Rabat to join Ducati's independent World Superbike team in 2021

Spanish rider Esteve "Tito" Rabat will leave the Esponsorama Racing in MotoGP to move into Ducati's another independent team competing for World Superbike Championship. The Spaniard is expected to make his World Superbike debut in 2021.

Rabat, who was the former Moto2 world champion in 2014, will be the sixth MotoGP rider to debut in World Superbike Championship, after Max Biaggi, Carlos Checa, Troy Bayliss, Marco Melandri, and the late Nicky Hayden.

Meanwhile in early of December, Esponsorama Racing have been acquisited and taken over by SKY Racing Team VR46, and hired Luca Marini and Enea Bastianini to replace Rabat and Johann Zarco. Zarco himself remained in MotoGP, moving into Ducati's another independent team Pramac Racing, partnering with Jorge Martin. However, Esponsorama Racing would still able to manage their own Moto3 and MotoE teams for 2021 season onwards.
