The 2022 FIM MotoGP World Championship is just around the corner, and here we take look at the profiles of the top factory teams in 2022 season.
1. Yamaha Factory Racing (Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli)
The 2022 season marks a fresh start for the Yamaha Factory Racing team, known as Monster Energy Yamaha Team. Last season, Fabio Quartararo sealed his maiden riders' world title in his rookie season with the factory team, after having close calls with the independent/satellite Petronas Yamaha team in 2020. This season, the team will expected to be more competitive than previous seasons.

Similar to its previous seasons, the 2022 YZR-M1 had its strengths and weaknesses. The 2022 bike had some improvements in acceleration and cornering, however. they're still disadvantaged by the top speed from Ducati Desmosedici and Honda RC213V. Yamaha team principal Lin Jarvis promised that the 2022 bike will be keep more competitive despite having some problems, especially the acceleration and top speed.
2. Ducati Team (Francesco Bagnaia and Jack Miller)
After Francesco Bagnaia failed to become Ducati's first world champion in 2021 since Casey Stoner in 2007, the Ducati Team is ready to pick up where they left off. The Bologna-based factory team had been pioneered in acceleration and top speed on every Ducati Desmosedici they competed in MotoGP class since 2002.

The 2022 Ducati Desmosedici GP22 according to Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi D'allgna, will be a title contender bike, as the bike will also used by the independent/satellite team riders from Pramac Racing (Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin), Gresini Racing (Enea Bastianini) and VR46 Racing Team (Luca Marini)
3. Repsol Honda Team (Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro)
Similar to Yamaha and Ducati, the Repsol Honda Team, which known as the factory Honda team in MotoGP have become the strongest competitor since Marc Marquez arrived into the premier class in 2013. However, the team struggled too hard in 2021 after Marquez's horrible crash at 2020 Spanish Grand Prix that caused the Spaniard missed the majority of 2020 season. This year in 2022, the team brought their new Honda RC213V back into title fight, as Marquez poised to pursue his record-equaling seventh MotoGP world title.
4. Team Suzuki ECSTAR (Joan Mir and Alex Rins)
Suzuki made some highs and lows since returning to MotoGP in 2015, and that was until 2020 when Joan Mir became Suzuki's first world champion since Kenny Roberts Jr. two decades earlier. However, like Repsol Honda, Suzuki had their tough 2021 season after Davide Brivio left the team management. But for this year in 2022, Suzuki will come back stronger for the title fight, with the development of their new 2022 GSX-RR bike.
