Maverick Vinales (Yamaha Factory Racing) will start the European Grand Prix race from the pit-lane after the unscheduled engine change during free practice 1 at Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia, Spain

The Spanish rider was ranked 10th fastest in wet FP1 session, but then was 11th fastest in dry FP2 session

This was Vinales' first penalty served in his premier class (MotoGP career)
