Oliveira wins the home race at Portimao as Dovizioso and Crutchlow bid farewell

Miguel Oliveira took his 2nd career MotoGP race win in his home race Portuguese Grand Prix at Algarve circuit in Portimao, Portugal.

Oliveira, who races in front of his family and his Tech3 KTM team before moving to the KTM Factory team was unstoppable throughout the 25-lap race after starting from pole position. The 25 year-old Portuguese rider also set the fastest lap as well as the new circuit lap time records.

With the win, Oliveira finished the 2020 season ranked 9th place.

Completing the podium of the race were Pramac Racing's Jack Miller (2nd place) and Petronas Yamaha SRT's Franco Morbidelli (3rd place)

The Portuguese Grand Prix also witnessed the final race for Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow as full-season rider, as the Italian and the British will not take part for the 2021 season.
This was also Valentino Rossi's final race as the Yamaha Factory Racing rider before his departure to Petronas Yamaha SRT.
